#When to come and what you need for it

If you have any doubts about the correct way to cut your child's teeth, come and get a free consultation. You may or may not have a recommendation from your doctor. We do not insist on a written recommendation.

Children's first visit must be exactly when they are 7 years old, so that the orthodontist can examine them for the first time and detect any more serious defects in advance. Early detection gives parents plenty of time to think about treatment options.

#Invisalign braces

They are aesthetic. Braces are almost invisible and can be temporarily removed if necessary.
They don't restrict your eating. Unlike fixed braces, you don't have to adjust your diet.
The treatment is designed and virtually visualized in advance. You can see what your teeth will look like after treatment on our digital 3D model.
You will enjoy maximum comfort. Braces are comfortable to wear.
Easy oral hygiene is equally important. Brush your teeth as usual. You will remove the braces and brush your teeth as usual.
You will be surprised that the treatment is almost painless. Unlike traditional braces, treatment with Invisalign is virtually painless.

#What is good to know

Treatment of one jaw is always a compromise and temporary solution. We avoid it, we don't do it.

Straight teeth are an investment primarily in the future. They will allow you to maintain proper hygiene for a lifetime, they will decay less, they reduce the risk of loose teeth in later life due to overload, and they will allow the implantologist to apply the implant in the correct position. Some specific types of defects - crossbite, have an effect on scoliosis of the spine. In pediatric patients, early intervention can prevent the development of a serious defect. Orthodontic defects also have an effect and connection with temporomandibular joint disease. Our orthodontic treatment will improve a wide range of oral problems and optimize the starting situation for other specializations of dentistry. We treat both small and large, young and old, age is not an obstacle to orthodontic treatment. Everyone has different reasons:
- Young children struggle with a lack of space for permanent teeth to erupt. This is manifested by crowding of the upper or lower front teeth. They are most often affected by rapid maxillary expansion. This is a unique opportunity that will never be repeated in its timing. This can prevent permanent teeth from being extracted for orthodontic reasons in adulthood due to a lack of space.
- older children require comprehensive corrective treatment, which includes a perfect aesthetic result including rehabilitation of all functional features of the defect
- Adults come if they are bothered by something that was not treated in childhood or if they need implants or grind their teeth in their sleep, suffer from sleep apnea. It is also important that the lifespan of the implant increases if it is applied to an orthodontically treated bite.
- The periodontal patient benefits the most from treatment. The orthodontic appliance puts the teeth back into the correct position and the retention phase splints them for the long term. You will extend the life of your teeth.

#Disadvantages

Time – it is not always possible to adhere to the planned schedule. We apologize if there is a delay. We always treat each client as needed. One day, you may be the one who needs more time. In the event of a delay and a situation where you cannot wait, please report it immediately to the reception. Thank you for your understanding, if you do have to wait, the friendly environment, wifi connection, good coffee and tea will make it more pleasant.

#Rules and technical background

A pleasant environment and superior equipment contribute to the best results.

The orthodontic treatment plan is developed based on a comprehensive examination. We have the ability to perform OPG, DRTG, CBCT, hand growth scan (NewTom Giano). Your jaws are scanned and 3D jaw models are processed (3Shape scanner including orthodontic module). According to requirements, a virtual visualization of the entire treatment can be developed in advance and together with the planned veneers using Digital Smile Design. We always take photos of both your teeth and your smile. They are used to assess your natural head position, natural smile, and exposure of your teeth when smiling. Before the initial examination, it is advisable to check for caries with your dentist.

If you agree with the treatment plan, we will schedule a date for the braces to be fitted. We will explain everything to you carefully. Before fitting the braces, as well as after removing the braces, it is advisable to undergo dental hygiene. We work with magnifying glasses with LED lighting, under which detailed cleaning of the fixation material takes place. Invisible braces then really remain invisible throughout the entire treatment period. The braces are individual for each patient. Preparation takes longer, but this allows us to achieve the shortest possible treatment period, typically 1,5 years.

During the treatment, we monitor the ongoing results of the treatment using jaw scans. (This is not an X-ray, but a 3D photograph in real proportions). We compare the change that has occurred (so-called treatment monitoring). It is therefore not necessary to take further X-rays during the treatment, unless your specific diagnosis requires it.

After removing the braces, we do not underestimate the retention phase. The phase in which we stabilize the result of the treatment includes upper and lower fixed retainers, upper and lower plates or transparent foil for the night. It is an investment in the future for every patient against the loss of the achieved result. It is as important as the treatment itself.
